Variable shaped perforations in aluminum vertical blinds cast light spot on their surroundings. The standard flat vertical blinds are replaced by an "L" shaped section. This provides two possible uses. In one orientation, the surface of the L Shaped vertical blind blocks the light completely and in the other orientation the perforated edge of the vertical blind lets light beams into the room.
